At a time when video quality was low, editing was basic, and nobody really knew what YouTube would become, this was just a fun experiment. That first video featured a modified Umarex Walther PPK BB gun converted to full-auto and edited in iMovie on a Mac. It wasn’t meant to be anything serious, but after a few months it reached around 100,000 views, which was a big deal back then. That moment revealed something important: people were genuinely interested in Airguns and BB gun content. From there, things slowly grew. More Airguns were added (not always approved at home), more videos were created, and eventually the Replica Airguns brand was born. Over the years, it expanded into ReplicaAirguns.com, .ca, and .us, along with a massive video library. After setbacks, including losing the YouTube channel, the content continued on Vimeo and Rumble. Now, the library is nearly fully restored back on YouTube. The original video that started everything was thought to be lost, but it was recently rediscovered on an old drive and enhanced using AI. It’s still rough by today’s standards, but it’s a real piece of history.
